Interested in Dual Enrollment at Valencia? Submit an application!
- All WHS students are eligible to paricipate in dual enrollment at Valencia if they meet the requirements for admission, which are:
- 3.0 or higher unweighted GPA (grades 6-11) or a 3.0 weighted GPA (grade 12)
- Obtain eligible test scores in reading, writing, and math through their the PERT, SAT, ACT, or CLT 11/12. Students can submit an application if they meet the GPA requirement and then register to take the PERT test at Valencia or on campus at WHS if they do not meet the test score requirement yet.
- To submit an application gather the following information and begin your application on the Valencia website
- Applicant email address – do not use your OCPS school student email.
- Parent/legal guardian email address – must be different from the student email
- School counselor email address
- After submitting your application:
- Check with your parent/guardian receives the Parent Recommendation message to complete (check junk/spam folder just in case).
- Check with your school counselor receives the Counselor Recommendation Message to complete.
- You should receive an email in 5 – 7 business days after all required sections of the application are completed. This email will include your Valencia ID (VID) number and instructions for submitting test scores.
- Application is not considered complete until the student, parent/guardian, and school counselor recommendations have been successfully submitted. Application will not be reviewed or processed until all required portions have been completed or after the application deadline.

How to submit test scores to Valencia College:
Valencia only accepts scores from exams completed within the past 2 years.
- PERT: The PERT can be taken a maximum of three times at Valencia within a two-year period. You must have a VID in order to take the PERT through Valencia. To schedule your PERT exam, visit Testing & Assessment for locations and contact information. PERT exams taken at the high school are retrieved by Valencia College at the district level. Students do not need to submit scores to Valencia if PERT was taken at the high school and they received passing scores.
- ACT: students are responsible for logging into theACT account and requesting test scores to be sent to Valencia College (school code - 0736).
- ACT scores are processed after a student's tests have been scored and all scores are ready. If the score is available to be sent, it is usually sent the same day.
- After receiving scores from ACT, scores are processed by the Testing & Assessment department within two business days.
- All requests must be completed through ACT. No other forms of submission will be accepted.
- SAT: students are responsible for logging into the SAT account via College Board and requesting test scores to be sent to Valencia College (school code - 5869).
- SAT scores are sent electronically and typically sent within 5-10 business days of an order being placed or a couple weeks after test day if a student designated score recipients as part of their registration.
- Rush shipping is only available for scores that have already been released and sent within 1-4 business days (excluding holidays and weekends).
- After receiving scores from CollegeBoard, scores are processed by the Testing & Assessment department within two business days.
- All requests must be completed through CollegeBoard. No other forms of submission will be accepted.
- CLT 11/12: students are responsible for logging into the CLT exam account and request test scores to be sent to Valencia College.
- Access "Past Performance" to locate previous scores
- Click "Share" button under the necessary scores
- Select Valencia College from the "Partner Colleges and Universities
- Allow 5 business days for CLT scores to be received and processed.
- All requests must be completed through the CLT Exam Account. No other forms of submission will be accepted.
Once your application and test scores are received by Valencia, here are your next steps:
- You will receive an email from Valencia (to the emial you applied with) stating whether you are admitted to dual enrollment. If you are admitted, Congratulations!
- You will then want to schedule an appointment to speak to your School Counselor (or send them an email) about what courses you should take at Valencia. School Counselors are responsible for making sure that if you are taking core classes through Valencia that they meet the requirements for graduation. They will also help make sure that you are still taking 7 total credits for the school year (between WHS and Valencia).
- Once you have met with your school counselor and discussed your schedule, you will make an appointment with a Student Success Coach at Valencia to help you pick our classes that would be needed for your goals. For example, if your goal is to graduate with you Associate of Arts degree at Valencia, they will help make sure you register for courses that will meet those requirements.
- Then, you will register for New Student Orientation through your MyVC account and then register for your classes. Course registration help can be found on their website.
- The final step is to let WHS School Counselors know what courses you are taking and submit to them what your preference for your schedule would be. You will want to complete this dual enrollment form along with your dual enrollment contract. Your School Counselor will make modifications to your schedule based on your preferences if the classes are available during your requested times.

Instructional materials may include a textbook, digital access code, or other academic content to facilitate your learning! Once you have finalized your classes for the semester, go to the bookstore order guide for further instructions. Required instructional materials, are free of cost to dual enrollment students. Dual enrollment funds are added to your account each semester for you to place online bookstore orders. If there are no funds in your account, please contact your School Counselor.
