Digital Video Technology is an exciting where students learn the creative art of moviemaking! This hands-on class will teach you video production skills for working behind and in front of the camera on a film or TV production set. Focused areas of study include cinematography, storytelling, directing, and video editing. The majority of this active class is dedicated to real-life learning where students produce their own entertaining films as well as other video production needs of the school and community. FUN, possible projects include commercials, dramas, comedies, music videos, hype videos, animations, movie trailers, news stories, sports/program highlight reels, and much more.
This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster. Seniors who take agriscience foundations are not eligible for a certification. New courses like Vet Assisting and Animal Science and Services may be offered for 2026-2027 school year based on student interest.
Digital Multimedia Design is a course available to WHS students that will allow them to explore software to design and create a variety of multimedia products. Students will receive enhanced practical experiences in computer-generated art and text, graphic design, graphic production, digital design skills, preparation of digital layouts and illustrations, scanning, and the development of specialized multimedia presentations. In order to meet the requirements for senior privilege, students must pass both certifications in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator or InDesign.
Aerospace Engineering is a program intended to engage students in analyzing and designing solutions to engineering design problems related to aerospace information systems, astronautics, rocketry, propulsion, the physics of space science, space life sciences, the biology of space science, principles of aeronautics, structures and materials, and systems engineering. Students work in teams, exploring hands-on projects and activities to learn the characteristics of aerospace engineering and work on major problems to be exposed to the various situations that aerospace engineers face in their careers.Students learn the fundamentals of atmospheric and space flight. Students explore the physics of flight, orbital mechanics, and robot systems.
