OCPS Family Engagement work is driven by the National Standards for Family-School Partnerships at all schools. There are six National Standards for Family-School Partnerships:

- Communicate Effectively
- Support Student Success
- Speak up for Every Child
- Share Power
- Collaborate with Community
To provide family engagement guidance each marking period, school leaders will be provided with a Family Resource Center (FRC) guide. The FRC guide includes ideas to promote family engagement during the third marking period. The FRC guide is designed so that school administrators can check off one or more of the family engagement activities that would like to implement and print/share with the designated staff/ group.
