Candidate Eligibility:
Juniors and Seniors become National Honor Society candidates for selection based on the following criteria:
- One full semester attendance at Windermere (National Guideline)
- 3.5 weighted and minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
- 40 hours of community service preferred and documented on the OCPS Community Service Plan and approved by the Windermere Guidance Counselor
- Windermere High School considers candidates for selection once a year in the fall. Candidates complete and submit a digital application which makes the candidate eligible for member consideration. The Windermere Faculty Council will select and extend an Invitation to Join. Not all candidates will be invited to join. Juniors who are not invited to join or decline an invitation or do not meet minimum requirements can be considered again their senior year if the candidate eligibility requirements are met.
