Elgibility and Physicals

Windermere High School is a member of the Florida High School Activities Association, Orange County Public Schools, and the Metro Conference. In order for a student to be eligible for interscholastic athletics we must meet the requirements of all three of these organizations. Among those are:

*A student must live in the WHS zone, unless WHS is considered an open School by Orange County Public Schools.

*A student must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA the semester before their sport of participation. The only exception is the fall of a student’s freshman year, all freshman are eligible grade wise their first semester.

*A student must have an updated physical (see below) that is good for one calendar year.

In order to insure that WHS has all the necessary information on each athlete they must have the “Physical Packet” provided by WHS filled out and return before they will be allowed to practice.

*“Physical Packets” can be downloaded here:

“Physical Packets” must be returned to the Athletic Trainers ONLY.

*Starting in the Spring of 2018 there will be an annual “Sports Physical Night” during this time coaches from our various teams will be on hand to answer questions and promote their teams and physicals will be administered for a nominal fee. All our athletes will be encouraged to get their physical at this time which will be good for the entire following year.

If you have any questions concerning Athletics, always feel free to stop into the Athletic Directors office, they will be glad to answer your questions.
